Since I don’t play the guitar, I took it to work for a couple of friends who play the guitar to give it a test drive. After a bit of re-tuning, Chuck finger-picked a few James Taylor-style tunes. Then Joey picked out some old-time rolk ‘n’ roll.
I have to tell you, it was awesome to actually hear recognizable music coming from my home-made, barn-wood guitar prototype.
Last night, I ordered the lumber and parts for my first official guitar. It’ll have a cedar top and rosewood sides and back (like the Olson guitar James Taylor plays).
I probably won’t get started until next weekend, so stay tuned for updates.
